U.S Banned Electronic Device From Cabin Luggage On Certain Flights
According to BBC, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said extremists were seeking “innovative methods” to bring down jets.
DHS said that terrorists could carry bombs in laptops, tablets, cameras, DVD players and electronic games.
Cairo in Egypt, Amman in Jordan, Kuwait City in Kuwait, Casablanca in Morocco, Doha in Qatar, Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Istanbul in Turkey, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates are the cities affected.
The following are the airlines affected: Royal Jordanian, EgyptAir, Turkish Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Etihad Airways.
No American carrier will be affected, officials say.
U.S officials said that the ban has no end date, adding that the affected carriers have been given 96 hours, beginning from 07:00 GMT, March 21st 2017.
