There was
excitement last week in the Nigerian ICT market when Microsoft Devices released
Nokia XL, its flagship large screen offering under the Nokia X family for sale.
The
Nokia XL device is the next offering in the Nokia X family which includes Nokia
X, launched earlier this year in Nigeria.
A close
monitoring of market activities in the Nigerian Computer Village on Monday
showed that the new affordable smartphones that run Android apps is already
tickling customers as a results its innovative features.
With a
5″ In-Plane Switching capacitive colour touch screen, the Nokia XL brings the
large screen experience at an unbelievably affordable price point.
However,
the device further augments the imaging experience with a 2-megapixel
front-facing camera for video calls on Skype and a 5-megapixel rear camera with
autofocus and flash.
With a
powerful 2000 mAh battery, and rated for 16 hours of talk time and up to 41
days of standby, the device is armed with the Fast lane experience which has
been completely re-imagined for the Nokia X family.
Fast
lane is now more customizable and social. Users can select what appears on
their Fast lane feed, read notifications from their social networks and update
their status from within Fast lane, making the experience even more productive.
