Instagram Plans To Save Your Pictures In 1080*1080 Resolution

A lot of plan seems to be going on with instagram as they upgrade photos to 1080 px, according to source from instagram website uncovered by the Verge.

As it stands now,the resolution of  Instagram pictures is 640×640, but on the heels of the revamped Instagram.com website, it appears that sharing picture service is now uploading in full HD resolution.

That is to say, Instagram isn’t yet showing your photos in 1080×1080 resolution. But if the company is uploading and saving to that size, chances are it will roll out to general users at some point.

The Verge also noted that these photos aren’t being stretched from 640 pixels to fit a 1080 space, but are rather uploaded in HD resolution.
