A group of sacked soldiers facing disciplinary action by the Nigerian Army for abandoning their duty posts in the North-East, on Friday, stormed the Kaduna State Government House to protest what they described as unfair treatment meted against them by the army authorities.

The soldiers, who arrived the government house at 5:30pm to complain to the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, were said to be those who allegedly abandoned their operational base in the ongoing war against the Boko Haram insurgents.
Although Governor Nasir El-Rufai was not available to address the aggrieved soldiers, it was gathered that the Secretary to the state government, Balarabe Lawal, met with them.
He was said to have assured them that the governor would receive their complaints and forward same to the appropriate authorities.
