Nigerian singer Timaya makes it into the short list of Nigerian musicians who have earned a Grammy Nomination.
Inetimi Alfred better known as Timaya is a step closer to grabbing his first ever Grammy Award.
The ‘Bum Bum’ crooner earned a Grammy nod for his contribution to Morgan Heritage’s album. The reggae album by Morgan is titled ”Avrekedabra’ which was nominated in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category in the 2018 Grammy Award.
Timaya was featured on the album on a track called ‘Reggae Night’ which also had music stars like Stonebwoy from Ghana, Chubb Rock, Stylo G, Bunji Garlin, Dre Zion & Jaheil.
In any case if ”Avrekedabra” wins in its Grammy category, Timaya will be the first contemporary Nigerian artiste to win the prestigious Grammy Awards.
